Devon plugged in a profile that made me jealous, so here I am trying to improve mine. About me.. about me.. hmm.. the whole 'in a nutshell' thing just doesn't work for me. I always find a way to break through it, both in sheer number of words and, of course, my ability to defy being categorized.

I'm a mother allergic to domesticity with a penchant for stirring up trouble, speaking my mind and stating a point - funny how those things are interchangeable. Chauvinists hate me, kids tend to adore me, much to their mothers' chagrin. I talk a tough game, but get pushed over with a simple flower, a sincere poem or a good romantic comedy. I'm a sucker for the underdog, violently protective of children and animals (anyone who can't defend themselves equally to their aggressors) and have found a rather interesting happy medium between laying my pride on the ground and allowing it to govern me in times of perceived need.

I once ran a Spanish Inquisition-esque blog here, with the intent of trying to shove propriety down the throats of women who were too insecure to keep their bodies covered, but I quickly realized that the only way to make a difference is through example. Naturally, I wear turtle necks in summer.
