Hi there!

My name is Rob Rayburn. I am a freelance writer and a personal fitness trainer. I am also a full-time college student - better late than never - for sure.

I have always loved to write. I suppose that I have never been shy about expressing my opinions, particuarly when I feel that I know what I am talking about.

There are a lot of things that interest me.

Sports, music, relationships, social issues, politics, current events, and fatherhood are just a few of the topics that particularly interest me. I love a good, healthy debate regardless of the topic, assuming I have some knowledge in that area.

My personal area of expertise is personal fitness training. I have worked as an independent personal trainer off an on for the last decade or so. It truly is a passion for me. Need some advice? Feel free to ask. I don't pretend to know everything there is to know about any particular topic; although, I am well-informed on most of the issues that I will discuss. If I am not familiar with the topic, I try not to write about it. If I don't have the answer, I will find it from a credible source.

I am a United States Navy veteran and very proud of our boys and girls putting themselves in harm's way on a daily basis for the benefit of us all. You will never find anyone more patriotic than myself.

That said, I am completely disgusted with our government. I don't care about democrat or republican. I personally feel that there is all too often a middle ground that our legislators cannot find due to their obvious disdain for the other side.

Come on people, 200-plus years of partisan politics have resulted in the collective mess we are all in now. You Go Bob Barr!!

I am quite certain that my opinions will occasionally offend some; however, that is truly not my intent. I don't have a problem with the fact that you may very well know more than I do about any particular issue; in fact, I appreciate your insight. If your argument is persuasive enough and based in verifiable fact, I may well be compelled to change my position.

I am brand new to the Tblog community, and honestly would appreciate any tips or suggestions any of you may have.

Please feel free to passionately disagree with me. I completely respect anyone who is firm in his or her convictions.
