Seth Thomas was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts in 1990. At the age of four, his family dragged him along to Vienna, Austria, and then onto Israel. He was living abroad from the U.S. for 8 years.
In the latter years of living in austria (1996-98), Seth became very interested in comics. He put his untrained cell bundles at the end of his arms to use. His first creation was a strip about a super hero pig. It's ruff drawings depicted an underwear wearing 2D pig running around saving people. But this child decided to expand.
When his family moved to Israel, Seth became very interested in Foxtrot (a comic about a somewhat dysfunctional family) and the classic Calvin & Hobbes. The latter was the major influence in his next project (also featuring a pig). This adventure was a blatant rip off of Calvin & Hobbes. The main character was a little boy wearing a striped red shirt, with a talking doll (sneakily labeled a "pet" to deter accusations of copying Calvin & Hobbes).
The next comic was a little more permanent. In 5th grade, Seth drew up 6 pages of comics including one Sunday strip. He then passed them out to his fellow class mates, gaining a little cult following (yeah right). This comic ended soon, as seth lost interest in his comics...until one day!
One day Joe came! Joe was a little boy with an afro, who had sun glasses. He was Mr. Cool! For quite some time, little Seth's mind was preoccupied with thinking about Joe and his "adventures". Several characters were born out of the creation, who exist in other projects (on the web). Another character born was stealing the scene, though!. With the help of a less "turban looking hair style", "Benjy" conquered the strip. Soon Seth drew up more and more of him, until his current look came out. Benjy then starred in Seth's first venture in to the World Wide Web.
His first web comic, Unidentical, received mixed reviews on DrunkDuck.com. Some called it "amazing!" when others dismissed it as "doodles on a bathroom wall". About 13 strips later, Seth became bored with his creation, although his pencil will trace the lines of his old favorite creation from memory occasionally. After leaving his creation for weeks, Seth finally doodled some new faces. These faces slowly grew into the comic that you see here, today!
Seth continues to draw Joe and his buddies....
